Payment methods
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro and UnionPay via Shopify Payments (including Shop Pay and Apple Pay), PayPal, and bank transfer (details on request — convenient for institutional buyers).
All payments are processed over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your full card number.
Institutions: libraries, universities and museums may order on invoice with payment by bank transfer after delivery. See For Libraries, Museums, Universities etc.
Currency and VAT
All prices are shown in US dollars (USD).
You may have to pay import duty or local VAT on arrival; these charges are set by your country and are not included in our prices.
We issue a proper VAT invoice for every order. If you need the invoice made out to an institution, enter the institution's details and VAT number at checkout or e-mail us.
Dispatch time
We dispatch within 3 working days; in practice most orders leave the next working day. Orders placed on Friday afternoon are dispatched on Monday.
If a title turns out to be unavailable, we contact you within 2 working days and you can wait, swap the title, or get a full refund.
Delivery cost
Shipping is charged by weight and destination, at close to our actual postal cost — we do not add a handling fee. The exact amount is shown in your cart before you pay, so you never have to work it out from a table.
Books are heavy, so a rough guide: a single paperback volume to Europe starts at around 11.50 USD, a large excavation report or a two-volume set at around 17.50 USD. Overseas destinations cost more. For orders above 5 kg, or for institutional bulk orders, write to us and we will quote courier or pallet shipping.
Delivery time (indicative, after dispatch)
Europe: 5–8 working days (priority — Global Expres, our main service for most parcels), 6–9 working days (economy). Rest of the world: 8–22 working days for most destinations; a few (Australia, parts of Africa and South America) can take longer.
These are Poczta Polska's own published estimates, not guarantees — actual delivery can vary.
Shipping to the United States
Shipping is temporarily unavailable. Following the recent changes to U.S. de minimis import tax rules we are currently unable to ship orders to the United States.
Packaging
Books are packed in rigid book mailers; heavier and antiquarian items get additional protection. We reuse clean packaging materials where they are in good condition — good for the books and for the planet.
